mash up culture round up
I just gathered some of the best mashups I’ve ever seen. And look, I’m so generous that I compiled all the links for you. Personally, I think my favorite would have to be “Reservoir Turtles.” The You Got Served/Wizard of Oz trailer comes close though.

The Rasheed Wallace Appreciation Post
When Michael Jordan retired after winning his 6th championship with the Chicago Bulls in 1998, I lost complete interest in basketball. There was nothing else to look forward to with MJ being gone. The 1998-1999 NBA season didn’t even exist to me because I just didn’t care—basketball didn’t mean a damn thing anymore.
I found a reason to come back to the NBA in 2000. I...

thank you sheed for bein' you.
Lang Whitaker: What do you think people don’t understand about you? Or, what do you want people to think about you?
Rasheed Wallace: Honestly man, it don’t matter to me what people think about me, as long as my wife and my kids and my mom think cool of me. As long as my inner-circle thinks cool of me.
Lang Whitaker: Not at all?
Rasheed Wallace: Nope, because them the people I gotta face every day.
Lang Whitaker: Do you think you’re misunderstood by the rest of the people?
Rasheed Wallace: Um…as far as what?
Lang Whitaker: Just their perception of you. A lot of people think you’re crazy. Do you think that’s a misperception?
Rasheed Wallace: Well, that’s good then. That means I don’t need their negativity near me if they’re scared of me.
Lang Whitaker: What about your attitude on the court, the way it’s so — not that it’s negative — but that it’s so up-front and loud. Does that project negatively?
Rasheed Wallace: Um…
Lang Whitaker: Because you get T’d up a lot, too. That doesn’t reflect negatively?
Rasheed Wallace: I’m not worried about it. It’s all out there on the floor. That’s where I leave it at. So, it’s cool with me. People can say whatever. People can say that I’m “this,” I’m “that”…it don’t matter. As long as I’m there to get the job done. Hey, I gotta go, man…
Lang Whitaker: Last thing: Who is Rasheed Wallace?
Rasheed Wallace: Um…the person or player?
Lang Whitaker: Person.
Rasheed Wallace: I’m an everyday person just like yourself. I go to the supermarket, make sure the kids are at school, make breakfast, this and that. I’m just a regular dad. On the court, I just try to go out there and play, be a monster, be a beast, be a goon. And that’s me.

TOY STORY 3
1) Day & Night, Pixar’s short film preceding TS3, feels so avant garde! and it compliments the story’s underlining theme very well! It’s nice to see something completely different, while maintaining that Pixar charm.
2) I was watching out for Sid and once I saw the trash man, I knew it was him. Black shirt with white skull is enough for me to believe that it is him.

Couldn’t find any good Love Serenade (dir. Shirley Barrett, 1996) clips on YouTube to post on here, so I uploaded one myself. A fine Aussie film, it is. It’s a bit strange, but I tend to love that kind of stuff.

sidewalk surfing photoshoot w/ CxY aka CYjelly
Christian Yeung photographed on 3/13/06 in Riverside, CA.
Equipment used: Canon Powershot S110 (ewww, my old ghetto point and shoot), Matt Geise’s trusty skateboard, and Christian’s rusty skill. [So unwise to skate with those Jordans!]

modern warfare 2 is too expensive
A free weekend of Modern Warfare 2 on Steam makes me realize how much I miss playing video games with the Phi Beta crew. In this video, I am shooting at people, Anthony goes berserk, and Matt G. gets a headshot.

Exit Through the Gift Shop
Grafitti. I love it. If you appreciate street art like I do, you should watch out for Exit Through the Gift Shop.
Exit Through the Gift Shop is “the world’s first Street Art disaster movie” and will open in selected cinemas across the United States on April 16th. The following 5 minute sneak peak leaves me very intrigued. Thanks to Kate for the share.

Reflection Eternal
More and more musical geniuses continue to leave us behind; Nujabes (Jun Seba) passed away last February. When I heard about his death earlier this morning, I became sad knowing he won’t be able to share more of his gifted talent (although I’m hoping for some unreleased tracks). He created music that easily gets stuck in your head (a very good thing), the kind of music that the ears...

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson
I think my show is probably closer to Pee-wee’s Playhouse than anything else I’ve seen, and that is an aspiration.
Conan O’Brien (on The Tonight Show) sucked. Jay Leno sucks. David Letterman sucks. Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are whatever. And Carson Daly blows.
The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson has been on the air for five years and unfortunately, I just...
